The Lost Discipline

Oliver Wonst has been waiting his whole life for Discipline Day — the moment he discovers what kind of magic he has. Fire. Nature. Light. Anything but Darkness.

But when his turn comes, something impossible happens. He is chosen by a lost discipline — one no one has seen in centuries.

At Murgalon, the world's greatest wizarding school, strange visions begin to haunt him. Hidden books appear where none should exist. And whispers of an ancient prophecy begin to surface. Because some powers were lost for a reason.

Mitty Motty

Mitty Motty is a Reno-based middle-grade fantasy author and creator of The Wonderful Wizarding World series. He began building the world — its school, its magic system, its characters and their rivalries — as a kid, and published the first two books while still in middle school.

His stories are driven by humor, friendship, danger, and the kind of banter between characters that feels true to what it's actually like to be that age. The magic has rules. The villains have reasons. The world keeps getting bigger.

He is currently writing Book 3. He is not sharing spoilers. He is very serious about this.

Inside the Wonderful Wizarding World

🏰

Murgalon

The world's greatest wizarding school. Ancient, complicated, full of secrets — and not as safe as the adults would like students to believe.

The Disciplines

Every student is assigned a magical discipline on Discipline Day. Fire. Nature. Light. But one kind of magic was lost — and Oliver Wonst just found it.

👥

The Friends

Oliver doesn't face Murgalon alone. His crew of friends are funny, loyal, occasionally wrong about things, and exactly who you'd want in a crisis.

📜

Ancient Prophecy

Strange visions. Hidden books. Whispers of a war in a forgotten valley. Some powers were lost for a reason — and someone wants them to stay lost.

🌑

Growing Darkness

Book 2 goes deeper, stranger, and more dangerous. The Forgotten Corridor holds things the school would rather no one find.

✍️

Book 3

In progress. The world keeps expanding. Details are being withheld on author's orders. Updates when the author is ready.
